John Hall

Managing Director

John established John Hall Associates in 1973 as one of the first energy consultancy companies. He is a fellow of the Energy Institute, a member of the Market Research Society and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. As the only independent UK consultant to attend all meetings of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), John is constantly featured in the media as the most respected pundit on global oil affairs.

Noreen Guy

Operations Director

Noreen has senior management experience in the fields of procurement and consulting in both major private and public sector organisations. An innovator, she drives continuous improvement of operations, product development and client services throughout the JHA organisation. Noreen joined John Hall Associates in 2002 and has an MBA from the Warwick Business School.

Clive Ferrey

Director of Sales & Marketing

Clive’s major focus is delivering comprehensive service packages to our European clients. Having spent all of his working life in the field of energy, Clive’s commercial management and marketing experience, gained during his time at various global oil companies, has been invaluable at John Hall Associates, bringing significant insight and understanding into the detailed requirements of each and every client.

Peter Ind

Director of National Accounts

Client facing, Peter develops both new business leads and works closely with existing clients on strategy and policy development. He has a wealth of experience in the energy consulting industry and, in almost twenty years service with John Hall Associates, has encountered just about every new business development query that a client could possibly bring.

Mark Sullivan

Director of Buying Services UK

Mark joined back in 2002 from a commodity based sales background. Developing his energy market knowledge and expertise in the buying team, he moved into an Account Management role in 2005. With responsibilities in marketing and product development, the role saw him work with some of JHA's key accounts, delivering strategic solutions to meet his client’s dynamic requirements. Mark took up the challenge of Director of Buying Services UK in 2008.

Thierry Lesaffre

Director of Buying Services Europe

Thierry was recruited to John Hall Associates in 2005 because of his vast experience as a pan - European energy buyer for a FTSE 100 global manufacturing company. Originally a Civil Engineer in his native France, his purchasing career in senior management positions has given him the perfect skills set to head up the JHA European Team.

Martin Stanton

Director of H.R.

Martin joined in the company in 2004. His background is of senior management experience in the areas of marketing, human resources and procurement in blue chip companies.

Nick Mussell

Director of I.T.

Leading our Business Systems, Data Management and IT teams, Nick and his team are concentrating on a major investment programme delivering innovative improvement to JHA systems and client services. He joined JHA in 2006 furthering an extensive IT career in the internal corporate blue chip arena.

Jason Durden

Director of Market Analysis & Publications

Jason joined the company in 2005 having already spent 4 years in energy consultancy. Having previously traded equity options and FTSE index futures for a London securities house Jason’s brief is to develop a more challenging style and commercial edge to the market reporting and analysis function.

Damien Cox

Head of Market Reports

Following University, Damien worked on the de-regulation of electricity programme at Seeboard. During his eight years at John Hall Associates he has been an integral part of the research function with his prime focus being detailed reporting of markets, bespoke research projects for clients and supporting the analysis and forecasting process that underpins our purchasing advice.

James Hanks

Head Of Price Analysis

James is a key player in developing and improving the ever more sophisticated suite of forecasting techniques which anchor our risk management strategies. A chemical engineering graduate, James employs his specialist statistical and numeric talents at John Hall Associates in helping clients to manage their exposure to risk.

Angela Maguire

Company Secretary

Responsible for client invoicing and accounts, she also deals with the financial aspect of the company and is assistant to John Hall. Angela joined John Hall Associates in 1997.
